Mary Peers lives in a world rich with symbolism. She likes to say that she sees the world with different eyes, noticing the images that slip through the cracks of dreams into our daily lives, beckoning us to follow.

A writer since childhood, she has studied various languages as well as the pictorial symbolism in art, mythology and dreams. She believes that myth is a current that runs through all of our lives, we’ve just forgotten how to see it.

Mary is an award-winning author, with articles published in a variety of Pacific Northwest magazines. But it is the world of spirit, nature and the woven threads of mythic intrigue that inspire her.

She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and beloved dogs, and is currently working on Volume II of The Wisdom of Wood.
