The Wisdom of Wood is a story based on my interpretation of the Ogham Shield, an aspect of the Celtic Tree Alphabet. The letters, or fews, as they were called, represent certain trees, as well as the first letter of that tree. It was originally written vertically, on stone, and evolved to horizontal. And although it was believed to have embraced mystical concepts, they are no longer remembered. It was a divine language, with the ability to open the door to hidden knowledge. The Ogham Shield represents that journey of enlightenment, and is the inner structure upon which the story hangs.
